Scotch Pine, Pinus sylvestris - A relatively fast growing tree. Long, light to medium green needles. Popular Christmas tree with very good needle retention. Responds well to cultural practices requiring particular attention to shearing. Hardy tree but prefers well-drained sandy soils. Grows well throughout New Hampshire. Mature height 60 to 90'.
